Africa Song is an Annual Song Contest for all participating African Countries.
Who will be the African Song Winner for 2014?
Each participating country holds a national competition to select a song and a contestant to represent them Africa Song final. The national competition can take various forms – Calls for submissions, auditions, TV competition – You name it ! – there are many ways for the song and artist to be selected !
Africa Song can assist the Participating Broadcaster with the selection/competition process by providing options on how a national competition can be achieved and can also assist with the production of the competition.
The final will be a state-of-the-art, world class television production and consist of successive live televised performances of each countries selected song performed by the countries selected artists. The final will be produced, directed and broadcast live by Africa Song.
The final is envisaged as a 90-120 minute spectacular presenting each country’s national song selection and collaborating with all participating countries on selecting the final winner.
For year 1, the inaugural final will be broadcast from a city-country chosen by Africa Song. From year 2 onwards, the final will be presented and broadcast continentally from the previous contest winner’s home country
The winner of the annual contest receives an Annual Trophy and will have bragging rights as “The winner of Africa Song Contest 20xx” for the forthcoming 12 months.
The winner also has the right of first refusal to host the next annual Africa Song Contest in the winners’ country, in a city of their choice.
The winner automatically qualifies in the following year’s contest and is given the opportunity to perform the previous winning song at the next final.

The host city for the next Africa Song final benefits from the economic impact hosting the final brings to the host city and country.
The host city and country benefit from various rights including 100% branding rights as well as broadcast time during the final to showcase their country and the host city.

Mark Ransom has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the events, theatre, conference and stadium industries as well as the construction & development industry, having served in both industries for over 30 years.
Marcia Nomqibelo Mahlalela
An accomplished executive with 16 years of working experience in broadcasting that spans over project management, content and rights management. Her experience includes working for the South African Broadcasting Corporation and FIFA TV.
Tim Dunn is a lighting, set visuals, production and show designer. Over the last 16 years Tim has been instrumental in helping Gearhouse become a major player in the Southern Hemisphere, and he has worked throughout Africa and the Middle East.
